Wind tunnels are used to replicate the interaction between air and an object moving along the ground. The ROboMObil was subjected to a comprehensive range of tests, using smoke trails to visualize the air flow along the vehicle’s outer shell. Further, relevant aerodynamic drag coefficients were measured for later use in the corresponding simulation models.
